Stock cabinets are those that you can buy off the rack in many stores and are prefabricated. Custom cabinets are built to the customer’s specification and are invariably more expensive and more detailed. They are usually built onsite which means that they are built at your home rather than brought over. You can choose from a variety of finishes and types of wood that include cherry cabinets, maple cabinets, oak cabinets, bamboo cabinets, birch cabinets, hickory cabinets, oak cabinets and pine cabinets.
Wood material can range from solid wood, bonded wood and wood veneers. Wood blends with almost any kind of interior design theme, and you can choose from hardwoods or softwoods. Hardwoods come from coniferous trees and are easy to work with and cut. Softwood trees on the other hand are a little difficult to cut and come from dicotyledonous trees. Remember that different kinds of wood command different prices depending on availability and appearance. But you’re sure to find something that will fit both your pocket and suit your taste.
